Tasty...In older posts you used rice hulls in hop sacks as a filter, now do you use leaf hops also.
Would you elaborate on the weights of the hulls and hops.
Just upgraded to 30 gal. boil kettle and I am hoping to get a trub pile as pretty as yours!

I use leaf hops when I'm brewing a beer with late hop additions. I always use 4 ounces. When making lagers, light ales, and all CYBI beers, I use rice hulls. I never weigh them. I fill the hopsack to a point where it will take up almost all the volume of the hopback.

Thanks again...... I'd rather be brewing, but instead, pouring a slab for my TopTier. Hard work can give a man a wicked thirst..Red Hook IPA tonight!
