So, I did my first two batch sparges this weekend, and I cranked the gap on my grain mill to 39 somethingths. When I racked to my primary, I noticed alot more trub than I'm used to. It's not solid matter, like husks, so I think I'm doing my recirc correctly. It looks more like the egg drop soup stuff that doc mentions. I'm doing long boils and cooling down in 30 minutes. I lost quite a bit more wort than I'm used to when racking. So what might this stuff be? Is it hot or cold break? Does this come along with batch sparging? Is my girlfriend putting dryer lint into the pot to discourage my obsession?
