Starters and getting the slurry out

I can never get the slurry out if I decant it so I just pour the whole thing in after stirring it thoroughly with some swishing action. I'm sure this is something obvious that I am missing and I know I will feel stupid as soon as someone comments about it but I really need to know how to get the yeast slurry that settles to the bottom of a starter out.

Do you use a utensil to scoop/scrape it out or what folks? Cuz that shit don't pour for nothin. I could let it slowly drip down but that would still leave a lot behind stuck to the glass. Plus I don't want hold it upside down for 30 minutes, muh arm gets tired.

Use your other arm so it feels like someone else.

let the starter settle and compact, pour off the starter liquid leaving the main body of yeast at the bottom. then add DI water while stirring ( using the stranger definitely gets my starters going) until all the yeast is off the flask, then pitch :jnj

I use a can of fine american lager to get it out, the light beer doesn't change the flavor and its as close to sterile as beer gets. If i don't have any coors around i decant 2/3 and use the rest of the liquid to get the slurry out.

When I decant I leave the stir bar in and a tiny bit of the liquid. I've never had a problem swirling it around and getting it out. If I did I would just use a little of the wort im pitching to.
