Baltic Porter & Oktoberfest Folks!

I want to do a Baltic Porter! I want to ferment it at the same time I ferment an Oktoberfest, any chance that could work out? Fermenting both at around 52F? Is that too low for a Baltic Porter? I typically see Baltic Porter recipes with ferment temps around 60F - 62F.
I only have one fridge with external temp control so I would either have to do them together or consecutively.
Oh and what yeast is best for a Baltic Porter fermented at a lower than typical Baltic Porter temperature?
Is this a bad idea folks?

What do you think about using White Labs WLP820 Oktoberfest yeast for both of them?

Everytime I have used that yeast it tended to finish a bit high in gravity for me. Almost stalling. It also has been a slow worker for me. WY 2124 would be good for both of those beers especially fermented at 52F. Many Baltic Porters are fermented with lager strains as well.

You could put a fleece blanket around the.porter, that will keep it a little.warmer

I've decided to do the Baltic Porter first then the Oktoberfest, I need the Porter for the Tulare Fair so I'm gonna use Nottingham at 60F and after it's done I'll do the Oktoberfest, shouldn't take too long with Nottingham, I need the Oktoberfest by the end of September but I need the Porter by the end of August.

Don't rush these big beers. They will let you know when they are done. Good luck!

On day two of fermentation I come home from work and the airlock is clogged with krausen foam, I thought there was plenty of room, I had to install a blow off tube. It is really rockin folks!
