I"m looking to do an english barleywine at the end of this week. Can't decide between WLP007 (dry english ale) and WLP013 (London ale). Thoughts?

I love 007. That's what I'd use.

I think either will do you just fine. I use 007 more often than 013 because you can convince it to be a little cleaner by fermenting cooler, but either one should be great in an English barleywine.

I've had good results with WLP007. The Nogne O #100 clone from CYBI uses WLP007.

Really good yeast at big gravities.

No experience with WLP013.

I got some Barleywine fermenting right now with some WLP099, I've used it before and it brought 1.113 down to 1.024, this one started at 1.098 I'm thinking it'll get down to 1.021, that's my prediction

Blend them. Pitch the 013 first to get some of those classic english characters then pitch an active starter of the 007 24 hours later to finish out the fermentation.
