The makers of better bottle say there's not enough demand demand to produce a 6.5 gallon or larger better bottle at a reasonable price. Personally, I think that's their biggest failing. What do you think?

I'm all Better Bottles now but I never understood why it went 3, 5, 6 instead of 3, 5, 7.

I agree. 6.5 would be most welcome to prevent the blow-off issues I've had.

The reason the price would be higher because of shipping, the current ones fill palettes nicly but larger ones do not

They say it's not cost effective to produce or ship according to the FAQ. Honestly, if it was $3-5 more for a full-sized carboy I think plenty of people would pay it. You could certainly make a larger carboy with the same sized footprint, or make them enough wider that it still fits nicely into a palette. I don't really see the dilemma if people want the product.

I use to use a 6 gallon Better Bottle, but I got way too much blow off and lost a lot of beer. Now I know I could scale down the recipe, but that means less brew to drink. :(

I use the 6 gallon with some fermcap-s and have minimal if any blow-off losses. I don't see much need for a bigger bottle.
