I have a dual fermentation going, with WY2124 and Saflager W34/70 in a Bohemian Pils.
Same ice chest, after 24 hours, the 2124 is going good at 50F, 16-17 sec per bubble, but the W34/70 is hanging at 52F, but is really slow 125-130 sec per bubble.
Too Cold?? I took it out to warm up to mid 50's, so well see.
Any ideas?

Did you rehydrate the dry yeast?

Yes, in warm water 4 hours before pitching, had a nice foam starting.
But it is a 1 gal batch so I used 1/2 of a 11g package.
And I made a 1pt starter for the 2124.
As per Mr. Malty...

UPDATE:
At 36 hours - both are churnning at 52F, the 2124 has slighty bigger yeast nodes, and is bubbling every 6 seconds, the W34/70 has very fine floaties, and is bubbling every 13 seconds. All seams well!

You should let us know how the beers compare when they are finished! I'm interested in dry yeast but I can never seem to "sacrifice" a batch to see how it comes out.
