Its Alive! Alive!

Oh shit. Here we go. Just what I need. You'd think she'd learned her lesson when her sister gave me my Mr. Beer Kit for Christmas back in 2002.....

My wife bought me a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker for Christmas.

I now have 2 chickens smoking away in the back yard. Keeping it simple first time out. Pecan wood, 200F, a basic store-bought rub. Brined the birds overnight with kosher salt and sugar. I also have a nice bottle of Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Maerzen just sitting there waiting in the fridge.

That's awesome. A smoker is definitely in my future for the coming year. Every time I mention it my wife gives me "the look". She did learn her lesson when she bought me a Mr. Beer kit in 2003.

I showed this thread to my wife... she said a smoker is something she'd be fine with buying for me. Be jealous. :jnj
