I didn't know that cruellers are were French. I might have to re-evaluate my donut preference.

Or maybe we can start calling cruellers Freedom-nuts. Then I could still eat them.

Apple fritters can be great or cause you the worst intestinal hell ever... when they are good they are the BEST EVER. Therefore I voted the Fritter.

two of the best donuts i've ever had were made by the little old italian lady who lived next door to me. she gave me these two savory donuts, one was filled with potatoes, onions, mint and parsley, the other had chopped up hard boiled egg and dill. they were some of the best food items ive ever tasted.

The homemade cakes donuts deepfried in lard from when I was a kid are the best. We called them Gut-Bombs. Nowadays, it's hard to find anything with Trans Fats...

When available, I'll usually go for PA Dutch Funnel Cakes also... it's like one really long, thin doughnut squeezed out on top of itself in the fryer... Bub would like it if just for the form :unicornrainbow:
