Ribs dry rubbed with spices and smoked for about 10 hours does the ticket for me. A ton of flavor without all of the fat that the local Floridians call "ribs".

Come to Denver and truly learn what its like to be without bbq. I thought Florida (at least North Florida/Panhandle) had awesome bbq. Small street corner bbq stands have some of the best food on the planet. Well, at least the best bbq, the sides are often what you would expect from a small street corner food stand.

I love me some Ribeye!

Although and well cooked and seasoned red meat is fantastic to me. I went to Fogo De Chao once and it made me cry in my pants.

Chris, in Denver you want to go to Sam Taylors. He used to run his shop out of the city golf course until he got in a political spat with Webb. If I recall, his new place is in Cherry Creek. He slow cooks his meat long enough for it fall right off the bone just by looking at it. Good stuff.

Damn, now I have a craving for some BBQ. Time to hit the local butcher shop and grab some stuff for tonight.

Eh, Sam Taylors wasn't great. The chips were good, but the ribs were way oversauced and the meat itself was not very tasty. The pulled pork was also pretty average. I may have too high of expectations and just be remembering BBQ more favorably than reality would allow, but regardless, I am still at a loss for good BBQ out here in Denver (and good seafood for that matter, but that is to be expected).

Porterhouse ... how can you not love it. It's a 2 for 1 cut. NY strip and a filet joined at the hip.
