Day 6 on the Network

After this would be day 7. That will be one week and I feel then that I will no longer need to count the days on the network. That is if I do not get a bill in the snail mail for the network. I know there may be roaming charges I am not aware of.

But on day six  I found that my brew was gone , those guys were suppose to leave early last night. I am looking for a good holiday brew to cook up. I heard tell that a pumpkin brew might be a good choice. anyone ever try it?

A lot of folks have done pumpkin brews around here but I'm not one of them. Of the 5 or 6 I have sampled, I think there was only one that I can honestly say I really liked. The rest were merely drinkable.

On the other hand, I did do a spiced carrot brew last week. So far it's looking (and smelling) pretty good. I will keep folks posted.

Bugeater, have you brewed this spiced carrot brew before? If so, how's it taste? Does it help clear up double vision after you drink too much. If so, I might need this stuff. Might have to get with ya' on a recipe, if this stuff does cure double vision.

If I may make a suggestion on a pumpkin beer. Use a fresh pumpkun in the mash, maybe 6 - 8 lbs. Cut the pumpkin into quarters, then cut those quarters in half. Bake them at 300 F for an hour. Add them to the mash. This is for a 5 gallon batch. The best pumpkin beers I have made included NO SPICES. this way, the pumpkin comes through, not the spices. If I want Pumpkin Pie, I'll make pumpkin pie!

Thanks .... I will try the pumkin that way, I kinda thought another suggestion someone offer to open a large can of pumpkin pie filler was bogus. I think Mort or bub was playing with my mind
