Yet another newbie

Hey everybody. I am a true Novice homebrewer getting my feet / throat wet. Right now, I do extract w/specialty grains and I've moved into the wide world of "wet" yeast packs. My wife and I have pretty much been kicking around in the dark without much external help. Looking around on this forum, it looks like we've learned a couple of lessons the hard way. Looking forward to the new sources of information.
Have fun out there!

Glad to welcome you to the forum...
Brewing is a learning process, you will always be learning something, like don't use newspaper to regulate the airflow on your turkey fryer. I'm sure even Jamil and Doc learn something each time... That is the fun of the process. We welcome any questions you have, we'll do our best to answer them, then we will mercilessly make fun of you for something.
Hope you enjoy your time, and start asking.
Not to go on a rant here but for all you noobs please ask all the questions, I think many of us enjoy answering even the "dumbest" questions because it a. makes us re evaluate our process, b. reinforces lessons we may have forgot, c. alows us to screw around at work, and d. make fun of Justin, Gucci, Luffa, and probably BUB.

Shweet! Another Virginian! Welcome to the boards! Feel free to ask anything, don't take anyone seriously about anything unless it's about brewing. And as long as it's not Doc saying that he dunks 'em in his fermenter to help with the flavor (Sunday's show), you're good.

Wow BUB, that was rather nice and level headed... wait, wait... get your wife off the computer. You trickster you.
I would like to add reason e.) Because us makes me feel smarterer when we help a beginner develop the craft.
Welcome Bill Nye!

Wait...you mean dipping the boys in the fermenter was a joke...
That makes sense...I always felt that the mash tun was really the best place for that flavor addition.
