Happy New Year from Norway

Thu Jan 02, 2014 12:01 am

Hi fellow BN'ers!

Greetings from Norway! I've been a BN podcast listener for the last year, trying to catch up on 8 years of great brewcasting (currently on the 2008 season of the Session whilst getting all the new podcast as of Jan last year). I've been brewing AG since summer of 2012, currently brewing on a 20 gallon Boilermaker mash tun with a 30 gallon Boilermaker boil kettle.

Reckon I got a lot to catch up on in this forum as well. :jnj

Welcome and Happy New Year. Nice setup, especially after only doing all grain for 1.5 years.

Thanks! :)

I maintain a blog at http://bryggerlauget.blogspot.no/ (in Norwegian only, but there are a lot of pix ;) ).
Our current (non-winter) setup: http://bryggerlauget.blogspot.no/2013/0 ... psatt.html

Due to cold and hostile Norwegian winters I have to move indoors during the winter season, excluding the gas burner and hence a modified setup.
Currently fermenting a IPA/DIPA for the Norwegian nationals. :jnj

Haha! Yup, Norwegian redneck it is fo' sho'! :D

Actually it is only 6 + dry hopping. Brewing indoors allow me to boil only about 7 gallons, so I divide the wort in two and boil twice when brewing a batch this big. The screen shot shows hop addition on the two different boils :) :D
