Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. I am an active duty member of the Coast Guard and live in Novato CA. I have been homebrewing for about 5 years and am brewing about once a month right now.

Let see what else. I enjoy all type of beer but my favorites are IPA's and Stouts. I have a Laguintas clone in the keg right now and a LH Milk stout in the primary.

I want to get into growing my own hops this year so be ready for some questions on that. I am also looking for a brew club to join so if anyone knows of a good one in the bay area hit me up.

Welcome. Being in the coast guard, are you pretty much stationed on one place or do you get transferred around? Hop plants don't really get going until year 2 or 3, so it would suck doing all the work to leave your hops behind.

Just stay away from DOZE...they can never seem to win Club of The Year (disclaimer...DOZE sounds like a really great club).

Probably too late for hops this year. Winter's a-comin'
But they're really easy to grow.
Buy a rhizome, shove it in the ground. Add water. Done!
