Growing Hops during Hurricane Season.

This is my first year growing my hops in my yard. I live on the coast of Southern NC (Carolina Beach). I have the first "Storm" of the season coming my way now. Should be here tonight/tomorrow. I did not even think to prepare them for storms. We usually see a few storms a year (winds of 60+ and 6" too 15" of rain per storm) not to mention the thunderstorms that roll in every other evening.

Is there something I should do to prepare them for the storms when they come in? Or just let them ride.
Must appreciated!

About all you can do is make sure you hop trellis (or whatever you use to support the bines) will hold up to the wind. If it blows over it might break or uproot your hops. If you have your doubts, you should probably lay it down carefully before the storm hits. If you do lay your bines down, spread out some hay or mulch to keep them from laying in the mud.

My house is on pylons because of flooding. So, I have built beds at the base of the pylons, and the hops are running up lines from the base to the top of my deck.

I will keep and eye on the wind speed. If it gets too high in the future I will lay them down on my carport (It's paved). This storm is fairly weak so I think they will be alright.

Thanks for the help
