Beer has been a passion of mine for many years. Perhaps it is because I was born in St. Louis literally in the shadow of Anhueser-Busch, or maybe it is the fact that I come from a hearty Bavarian family. Whatever the reason, I love beer. Over the past few years I have shared my love of the suds with others through writing content for several outlets.

Currently you may see articles I have written at my blog, on Examiner.com, in BUZZ Magazine as well as Jacksonville Magazine. I even appear on a local Jacksonville weekly television program as the “Beer Guy.”

Springfield Brew Crew Blog (http://sprbrewcrew.wordpress.com): The Springfield Brew Crew began as an idea to get friends together on a monthly basis to taste and discuss the many different styles of beer. Over time it expanded to include charitable events, beer dinners, pub crawls, and much more. It also spawned a popular blog that I have been writing for several years.

Examiner.com (http://www.examiner.com/craft-beer-30-in-jacksonville/marc-wisdom): Examiner is a national news aggregator that depends on local writers to provide content on local subjects. I have been writing for Examiner since March as the Jacksonville Craft Beer Examiner. Recently Examiner has asked me to expand my coverage to include local Jacksonville dining, national restaurant news, national drink news, and city guides.

BUZZ Magazine (http://www.iwantabuzz.com/jacksonville-fl/magazine): Jacksonville’s BUZZ Magazine is the premier magazine for coverage of the many entertainment options available on Florida’s First Coast. I write a monthly beer column for this publication that focuses on the history of beer styles, what those styles should taste like, and what foods pair well with the style. To review my articles select the “Magazine” link on the top navigation bar and look for “Brew Time” in the magazine table of contents.

Jacksonville Magazine (http://www.jacksonvillemag.com/): Jacksonville Magazine is the First Coast’s lifestyle news leader. Over the past year I have had the opportunity to write three articles for the magazine on local breweries and the craft beer scene. My most recent article appears in the Jacksonville Magazine Sourcebook 2012.

I Know Jax (http://www.iknowjax.com): Currently airing on the Jacksonville CW network affiliate at 11:00 p.m. on Saturdays, I Know Jax is a local entertainment and news program that specializes in highlighting events and activities throughout the region. I appear on the program as the “Beer Guy” with host Joe Talentino discussing the local beer scene and craft beer trends.
