Hi folks. So I have been brewing for about a year and have made some good tasting ales. Stouts (including a 10.5% Dark Chocolate Imperial), Ambers, IPA, Portor, and a few less catagorical beers (they did taste good). :aaron

My GF supports by breweing 110% and even suggested I look into starting my own small brewery (I am sure everyone has that dream). She even said she was willing to give up garden space to grow Hops. Of course, she likes the hoppy IPA's and the like.

My cat, Shadow, inspects all aspects of my brewing and so far has yet to "sample" what I am doing. From the cleaning to the bottling he has to check each step, and each bottle once capped, to ensure I am doing it right.

If I did my own brewery I think I would focus on the darker ales and German styles. Not just Stouts and Portors, but Cascadia Dark Ale, Dark IPA...etc.

As long as she's not just blowing smoke up your kilt, she sounds like a good woman! :jnj

[internal dialogue] DAMNIT. Why does it always fall on me to inform people new to the forum that it is sufficient to start ONE thread to introduce themselves and say hi, or ONE thread to ask whatever brewing question they have.... Probably just because I'm on here a lot, an it bother's me more than anyone else... [/internal dialogue]

Hey Cat... just so you know for the future, the forum has a 'View Active Topics' button that will allow everyone to see new posts, so you only need to start one thread, it will still get seen. Cheers! :drink

Yeah, I didn't pay attention when I posted to the disclaimer of having moderator proof them.

Thanks.

Oh, she more than just talks about IPA. Her Favorite is called Total Domination IPA by Ninkasi (Eugene OR). I get scolded if I get myself a beer and don't pour her one too.

PS....how would I delete one of the posts? I couldn't seem to find a way.
