Greetings all, I've been reading the forum and listening to the archives and live shows for a few months, and decided it's time to pull up to the bar and start posting. I started brewing this spring, probably the same way a lot of you guys did - my wife brought home a "make your own beer" kit in a bucket. I had been helping a friend move and came home to a brand new kegerator and a homebrew kit - I love that woman. It didn't take me long to amass a pile of kettles, tubes, carboys and assorted odds & ends. I just made the jump to all-grain, thanks mostly to the cheap bastard Sunday show in July.

I've been a beer lover for a long time, and getting into brewing has added whole new dimensions to enjoying beer. Knowing the real differences between styles and being able to isolate flavors from different ingredients in a beer make it seem like I'm tasting even my old favorites for the first time. Reading about brewing has also opened my eyes to styles I had never explored before - Belgians in particular.

In central NC, we're blessed with a huge craft brew market. We've got a lot of great local breweries, and plenty of well-stocked bars and stores. Here in Raleigh, we've also got a great homebrew shop.

Anyhow, thanks to the Brewcasters and all you forumites for providing great info for n00bs like me.
