Greeting from the nutmeg state. (hmm.. nutmeg beer?). I finally popped in after Krotchrott's numerous posts about this site.

So excuse the brief intro, but here's what most people are interested in:

3.5 years brewing, all grain. Also some mead, cider, and wine.

two 10G systems, and I also house our club's 50G system. 8 Beers on tap because, well, it's an obsession. Plus I love just about all beer styles (except light lagers). Sometimes I wish I just loved IPAs or Porters or something so I could focus in on my brewing. Oh well, variety!

BJCP Certified. I need to rack up some points.

Those in the area (CT, NY, MA, RI) are welcome to check out our club's website ( www.kotmf.com ) as we usually post local events. Most of our brews are open to the public, too. My own site is www.twinhillsbrewery.com

I'd definitely like to hear from people in the area! :D

Welcome to the BN. So where are you keeping all those brew systems, in the garage or a shed?

Garage, but it's not even a garage anymore- it's a brewery which sometimes houses my lawn tractor and tools

I know how you feel about the grage filling up. I just moved to a bigger house. I had two reasons for moving.

1. Wife wanted a bigger house
2. I wanted a larger brewery.

We have a 3 car garage now and only one car wil be parked in it.

Originally manchester, now a few towns east in Coventry.

The AHA national brewer of the year in 2003 was from Vernon, CT. He was in our old club. Good guy.

Also Zok (Zok's homebrew store) has had 3 or 4 cover stories on BYO and was the national meadmaker of the year (04 or 05).

CT has a lot of good brewers. They just need to get online more

heh. Well, that's the thing about CT weather, you can't predict it.

two years ago we did have 9 months of winter.

This year, it was pretty hot into January, and then it sucked for a few months.

Normally now we'd be dying of 90-100F heat and drought, but it's been raining like a mofo. My town made the news with 3.4 inches of rain in a few hours last weekend.

But I can say that brewing when it's 20F out really does suck. Well, the brewing with the burners is fine- it's cleaning everything with hose water that sucks!

All times are UTC - 8 hours
