Hey Just wanted to throw out a possible Idea for a Guest, or subject that I found interesting.

I've been reading a Book by Gregg Smith call "Beer in America, The Early Years 1587-1840" which is basically about the roll beer has had in the beginnings of America. And what a roll it was, great book on the history of beer in america I thought with Author might be a good interview for your show. Just a thought. Some Interesting facts in this book, just a short one, the second Harvard President was fired due to his inablity to keep the Harvard beer supplies up so people had enough.

Anyways good luck on the Show tomorrow with the CBS station, keep up the good work, I've been and long time listener and finally decided to check the forums out...

This might be a good idea. I have a copy of the book and it is a great read. He did appear on the Modern Marvels show on brewing last year and came across quite well. He is also a homebrewer, which explains some of his motivation in writing this book

He would be a great resource for questions about ingredients in historical brews. Based on his discussions in the book about the ingredients available to brewers of the time, I modified my recipe for Poor Richards Ale and think it turned out better for the changes. I second the motion to get him for a guest, at least by telephone.
