In Germany, I think we used a credit card whenever we could and would get cash (in euros) from an ATM.

Awesome account Beer Trekker! Loved the pics. Sitting at home reading this while drinking my home brewed Belgians was a blast. I felt like I was there with you. Did you get the brew tour and any tips from the Monks?

Nope. My buddies did go across the street to the abbey to score six packs of the 12, though. I was in the cafe the whole time, giggling.
