Well, I ended up buying a bottle of Glen Livet 12. I dunno how highly regarded it comes in the scotch world, but it came highly recommended to me by a few people. I'm drinking some right now, trying it straight, trying it with a splash of spring water, or maybe an ice cube. It really is a different experience than I'm used to with liqour. A LOT smoother than I would have thought, and sweet, but in a different way than rum is. I think once I get a little bit of cash, I may invest in a bottle of Highland Park or Glen Morangie like you guys were suggesting...but for now I am definitely a Scotch drinker.

The one drop(small amount) of water trick does an unbelievable amount for breaking out the flavors. I generally prefer mine with an ice cube so I did a side beside tasting of strait and with a couple of drops of water, what a difference.

Grueling research I know, I did my part for the betterment of mankind I think I deserve a grant.
