New User Question

Wed Aug 15, 2012 4:53 am

Hey,

I have a tendency to greet the new users to the forum. I have noticed that seldom, or if at all, does their geographical location appear on their ID badge. Is that by design of limiting new users, or are they just not filling in that information? It's fun to see where everybody is located.

Thanks,

-CH

My guess is that either they want to check us out before revealing that type of info (especially if they read pretty much anything in off-topic before registering) or they're just embarrassed about living in Iowa.

Honestly I don't think it asks for that info upfront & most just haven't gotten around to checking out the User Control Panel before the welcome post.

It's the Internet...people like to be anonymous. Or maybe they don't want this guy to know where they live
