Barrel Handling

Hey all,

I am about to get a couple of Buffalo Trace barrels in the brewery. My plan is to fill them with whatever finished beer I have in the fermenter, probably the base robust porter for our Fifth Voyage Coconut Porter. I am kicking around ideas for getting the beer out of these barrels. I know there can be many ways to slice this, so what are some of the success stories that you guys have with handling barrel transfers? I do plan on using the Vinnie nail approach as a sample valve.

Thanks

Mills

Gravity seems to have worked well for a number of years.

+1. I think it even dates back to the 60's or 70's.
