So, it is never to early to start planning....

I have a business trip to Baltimore the second week in July. It looks like I will be staying down by the Convention Center/Inner Harbour area?

I obviously plan on attending an Orioles game since they are at home and playing the Tigers. I hear Camden Yards is a beautiful place to watch a game. I am also going to check out Heavy Seas/Clipper City, and hopefully take a tour. I may go to the Aquarium, I haven't decided yet.

Any other great breweries, brew pubs, bars, restraunts, or places I should check out? I am hoping to try some East Coast beers that we don't get here in Nebraska. I will be there about 4 days and should have all of my afternoons and evenings free. Thanks in advance.

Actually currently listening to the interview with Hugh from Clipper City, cool guy. Not sure on price/etc, but Max's has a large draft selection... http://www.maxs.com/

If you like seafood, there are lots of places there and likely quite a bit better than Nebraska seafood.

Definitely take in a O's game. Camden Yards is beautiful. They are currently serving Flying Dog brews at the park, so the beer selection is great. Heavy Seas just opened up a tap house, http://heavyseasalehouse.com/. Haven't been yet, but plan on it soon. Maxs is a must if you like belgian styles. Another must is the Brewers Art, http://www.thebrewersart.com/. Great food, outstanding beer. Since I assuming you are flying into BWI, check out Duclaw Brewing near the Southwest terminal. http://www.duclaw.com/. Lots of great beer in Maryland. Enjoy your trip.

Across the street is Bertha's which has awesome mussels and a great bitter brewed for them by Oliver's brewing company. The entire Fell's Point area has a ton of bars all within walking distance. If you're into scotch, check out Birds of a Feather which is a tiny bar run by this lady for the past 30 years. Such an unique place.

definitely have to check out Max's. since you're going to be downtown, there are a ton of places to eat and drink. Hit up Sabatino's in Little Italy for a great meal. Lots and lots of bars in Fells Point. The Inner Harbor is all the tourist stuff so walk through and enjoy but keep moving. The Aquarium is very cool if you like fishes and things cost ya about $30. Canton has a bunch of bars and restaurants. go to hsbeer.com to book a spot for the Heavy Seas tour and to see what's going on. Hugh is a really cool guy and they put out firkins of all kinds of stuff all over town all the time, that will be on there as well. A couple other places not to miss Alewife, Pratt Street Ale House, Brewer's Art...go to www.beerinbaltimore.com (@BeerinBaltimore on twitter) to find out just about everything going on. The guy that runs it, Brad, is a sales rep for DuClaw Brewing and knows just about everyone and everything involving beer here. Hope it helps. Have fun. Send me a PM when you get to town and we can go have a beer. Later, Drew

Have crabs down by the water. Also, go the the Brewer's Art. Good food, great beer, and not touristy.

You have to visit the Pratt Street Ale House - they have tons of awesome British ales. Steve Jones, the brewer, has been there for over a decade and makes some amazing stuff!

It's practically across the street from Camden Yards.

Also near the Inner Harbor, is the Alewife. It's relatively new, but they're definately on the map with a ton of awesome beers on draft.

I work across the street from the Aquarium and a good place that we recently walk to is to is the Linenkugel Beer Garden - nice open setting wth an outdoor beer garden as well as an indoor section that's primarily all glass with huge garage door type glass windows that they open up when the weather's nice.

Have fun in Baltimore, it's a pretty decent beer town!

Ditto to all the other replies. If you are heading to Canton or Fell's Point take the water taxi. It is fun and a good way to "see" the city.
