ohhh that's a cool idea, i might get a second one just to do that, i've been looking for a way to shave a few minutes off my chill time; i'm sure 30 minutes is fast enough, but if i could get it down to 15-20 i'd be happy.

Just make sure when you stagger them to give yourself enough time for fuck ups & add 10 minutes. Nothing like dealing with a problem in 1 batch & fucking up the 2nd because of it. When I double-batch, I just do it on the same system, but it's a 3 vessel AG system. The trick there is to time your 2nd mash to end with the chilling & not the boil. It does add more time though. While you're still doing straight up extract batches, you're fairly safe.

good point... i did a double batch right before christmas, but i didnt start the second until the first was pitched and set aside.

by the way, your avatar just messes me up everytime i see it
