Beer is on track so far. Bottled last weekend. For those of you who have never enjoyed a New Glarus Spotted Cow I'm sorry. The kolsch yeast I used always manages to make a head that will NEVER fall!!! So I gave it a little spin and let it sink. The problem with that is now the beer is oober cloudy. Luckily we had one last weekend of chilly weather so I stuck it out in about 37 degrees for three days before bottling. Still quite hazy but that's the cow look. Also, I was pumped to have gotten the orange color that the original beer typically has. Ill probably do my first tasting next weekend and do my first side by side the weekend after.

As for now, I'm doing my first AG batch Monday so im purtty darn excited. Happy Easter ya'll.

You have to keep posting on this. I live in northern IL but New Glarus won't distribute across the state line. Greedy Cheeseheads! I tried emailing them to try to get some info on cloning Spotted Cow but they ignored my three emails. Can't blame them for not wanting to give me details, but a courtesy replay wouldn't have killed them. I would love a recipe that is at least close.

Well not a spot on match, but darn tootin' close. Just started brewing all grain so can't wait to go to the original recipe which people have said AMAZING things about. I would encourage anyone who wants a good lawn mower beer that's crisp and got some good flavor to it to go with this!
