So I want to do a full-boil, but my gas stove sucks apparently, as it can not get 5 gallons in my brew kettle (8 gal) up to boil very easily...or at all for that matter. I can't quite afford the outdoor propane burner just yet (although it is in the near future). However, logically, I should be able to cut the recipe in half so I'm only a brewing 2.5 gallon batch, but still reaping the benefits of a full boil.
Does anyone have experience/recomendations with doing smaller batches like this? Or even better yet, could anyone point me in the direction of some smaller recipes?
